Proud to say that I went to school with these boys!

• It’s not as cold as I imagined. And certainly not as snowy.
• I’ve lost three pairs of mittens. No idea where they’ve disappeared to, but I say a little prayer when I realize they’re not my keys.
• I also cannot leave my coat on while shopping. Must’ve had a couple heat strokes while shopping with a girlfriend this weekend. She had to drag my wilted soul outside and let the cold air work its magic.
• This city takes brunching very seriously.
• I am scared can’t wait am curious to see where we’ll be in a year.

Without holding-company backing, independent PR shop Edelman has not only come through two significant recessions this decade, but it has also managed to solidify itself as the leading agency and most recognizable name in the entire industry. Whether it’s through the use of traditional PR tactics or the development and implementation of digital, blogger and social-media programs, the agency continually breaks new ground in the world of communications and has redefined the role PR agencies are playing in the marketing mix. Led by the PR industry’s most influential voice, CEO Richard Edelman, the agency, whose client list includes some of the biggest brands in the world, such as Walmart, Starbucks, Burger King, Microsoft and Pfizer, will rack up nearly half a billion in worldwide revenue in 2009. The only major hiccup these past ten years was the Wal-Mart Across America blog snafu back in 2006.

If it wasn’t prime time mainstream, I would give this show an Arrested Development-level seal of approval.

In physics, the grandest of transformations is called a phase transition, as when ice melts into water. The physical properties of the transition are novel, not a simple superposition of the starting and ending states. This was the condition in which I now found myself. Part of me wanted to complete the transition, to flow like water, but mostly I wanted to return to being a square and solid ice cube, where I was secure, where I knew the rules.

I chose this book because:

• I’d like to keep learning about concepts outside of my field
• It’s a book about the intern year of residency, which my beautiful sister is currently living
• I needed a reality check (and I faithfully got it)

• I’ve already lost one pair of mittens.
• The wind…..
• My lips have turned a completely different color and texture. Know what that is? CHAPPED.
• I’ve bought a coat that will keep me “warm” but I don’t think I can get away with wearing it all day. And all night. And in the shower.
• We’ve got 4 months left of this?

My sis and I found a hilariously ghetto version of this song several years back….think basic paint and stick figures. It’s since been removed, though this acoustic version ain’t half bad.

It snowed in Texas before it ever snowed in Chicago! Ayesha will not be pleased when she’s here next week.

One of my college buddies is really excited about oral hygiene. And I WILL be getting gold grills.
